One Proud Mommy!

I am a very proud mommy at this moment.

On a whim I decided to get out my beginning piano books from my piano teaching days and test it out on Brielle.  I have to say I was very impressed and surprised at how well she took to it!  I'm sure she is far more talented than any of my beginning piano students from before.  (And as her mother I wouldn't say otherwise).  She LOVES to practice and plays for nearly an hour a day total some days.

"Show me more, show me more!" she keeps saying.

I always hoped at least one of my children would have a love for piano like I do.  And while it's FAR too early to tell if she'll have a love of it like myself (heck, she could hate it tomorrow) at least for now she thinks it's pretty awesome.

Look at how proud she is of herself for successfully playing Mary Had a Little Lamb!

My heart is smiling!
(Which bothers my husband...because - as he says - hearts aren't capable of such things.)

And for the grandparents who would at least pretend to be interested and listen to her if we were in Utah...a video of her playing a song. (NOT Mary Had a Little Lamb...in case you wonder why it sounds nohing like that.)

Another Batman Fan in the Making?

I wonder if we've let Claire play with Addison too much...

Sisters

There are a lot of things I have learned in my life.  Like I shouldn't drink a diet coke at 10 p.m. because I probably won't sleep well.  And I apparently look naive and kind because I get asked for money by random strangers in the Walmart parking lot all the time. (But don't worry...I don't give them any.)

But I think the most important thing I have come to know is that there is nothing that compares to having a sister (or 2) for a best friend.  And that living away from them stinks BIG TIME.

And in case you were wondering...I get to see mine REALLY soon!

(Well...we get to see ALL my family and Marty's family really soon, but this post is entitled "sisters" not "all the people in my family who I love and miss a ton".)

I will probably be incredibly annoying for the next 18+ days while I count down to seeing everyone in Utah...but I can't help it.  It's been almost 6 months and I just want to squeeze them all (especially my brother Ben so I can make him super uncomfortable.)

6 Months Old

I can't believe Addison is 6 months old! (tomorrow) The time is CRUISING by!
(I know everyone says this about their kids...but oh how true it is!)

When the question "who is 6 months old" was asked, she was quick to respond.
Okay, so maybe that was just mid-arm flail, but still...I love it.

This is Addison's latest face she makes thanks to 2 new little teeth.

And this is the face she makes when she is grabbing the camera cord and yanking on it.

Addison's two favorite things...being outside and playing in her bouncer thing.

At 6 months old Addison can roll over both ways...making diaper changes ridiculously hard...is almost sitting on her own, is slowly warming up to solid food, sleeps through the night (about 75% of the time), and has two teeth.

We love her to pieces...sometimes her sisters love her a little too much, but they "...just can't help it.  She's SO adorable!"

We love you baby girl!
