Goodbye Blog

Well, it has come time for me to bid adieu to my blog.

At least for now.  Don't you worry, I'm far too narcissistic to give up writing all about myself completely.

Why am I bidding it adieu?

After enjoying Marty's awesome graduation on Friday, we found out all the plans we had made for movers  to be packing up our house tomorrow and Tuesday and other plans we had made, all fell through.  This left us really no option but to scramble and pack up our house and move it in to a storage unit on our own by Tuesday night....without boxes...or a storage unit...or a truck...or the desire.  Hey, I'm just keeping it real.

It's a big hairy, long, messy story...so I will spare you the details.

We got a few boxes Friday and Saturday and found someone in our ward who just moved in and had all their boxes still and were able to pick them up today after church...thank goodness!

Luckily Marty's mom is going to be here tonight and our ward has stepped up and will be helping with packing and moving our things tomorrow.

I'm beginning to wonder why I'm on the computer instead of packing.
Oh that's right, because I'm EXHAUSTED!

Have I mentioned I love military life?

No?

That's because sometimes it bites.

So, for now I am saying goodbye, while we go live our life of limbo between Texas and Washington.

Congratulations PFC Davis!

(Picture courtesy of our photog Brielle)

Today Marty graduated from his Biomedical Equipment Technician training!

We are SO proud of all the hard work and sacrifice he has put in to this.

Marty was in the top 3 of his graduating class and received an AIMS scholarship (AIMS is basically a community college associated with the military).

The ceremony was quick and to the point...perfect for our three little girls to enjoy and not get bored.  In fact we left the house at 8:30 a.m. and were home by 9:45 a.m.

CONGRATULATIONS MARTY!
We love you!

Now prepare yourself for picture overload...

The program...because everyone likes pictures of paper

Two girls anxiously waiting to see their daddy graduate (Brielle looks like we pulled her right out of bed...which we kind of did.)

Our happy little family

Daddy's girls

Marty and his friend Gibson (the girls LOVE him...they tell him all the time and kiss his hand.)

The girls surprised Marty with a "graduation gift".  (They replaced a book that he likes that they accidentally tore some pages out of.)  I love how adoringly they are looking at their daddy...they sure do love him.

CONGRATULATIONS!

When Daddy's Away...

When Daddy's Away...
...The girls get to PLAY!

(Or have to play so we don't go crazy missing our favorite guy!)

While Marty was gone for a couple days on training, we decided to have a "girl's night".

Addison's fun started while she continued to master sitting up.
Seriously, could there be a cuter baby?  I think not.

Once Addison went to bed, the real fun began!

Our girl's night consisted of an air mattress on the floor to "lounge" on, pizza, makeovers, Hannah Montana, treats and pedicures.  Doesn't get much better than that.
The makeovers begin.

I find great comfort in the fact that if I needed to, I could easily make a living as a clown.

Brielle and Mommy

Pretty, pretty girls.

Lovely pedicures (Claire nearly passed out with excitement at the store when she saw the "black like Batman!" polish...that girl is a dedicated fan!)

The girl's night was fun while it lasted, but THANK GOODNESS Daddy is back now!

Washington...the State, not the D.C.

Do you know what I just realized?

I just realized that I got completely caught up in myself (you know...because I'm my #1 fan) and got going with plans and research and excitement for myself...and I never posted on my blog about Marty finally getting his orders and us finding out where we will be stationed next.

Wow...how did I let that happen?

So, here is my quick post about where Marty received orders.  If the title of the post didn't already give it away, here is a map of our new location.  I even took the time to make a pretty little purple circle in Paint around where we will be.

I'm just kidding.  Well, kind of...it's the right state, but I'll be a little more specific.

We are SO excited about how much closer we will be to family.  Plus, I know everyone will want to come visit and take a trip to Forks Seattle!

Ready or not - Fort Lewis, Washington...here we come!

(After I party my guts out in Utah for the summer with the kids.  So, I guess Fort Lewis, Washington...here Marty comes!)
