Our Variety Pack

 

You know what they say...

Variety is the Spice of Life

Who "they" are, I'm really not sure.  But I have to agree.  Our own little "variety pack" (as we lovingly refer to our kids) keeps our lives spicy! From their hair colors to their personalities, these three little girls are all very unique.

Some of my favorite questions/comments we've gotten while out as a family:

- How did they all end up with different hair colors?

- They all look SO different!

- How in the world did you get a red head? (like it's the craziest thing ever)

- How did you get all girls? (Because they want our secret recipe)

- Are they all yours?

- (And my personal favorite) With the same father?

But seeing as I am no geneticist, and really there is no way for me to explain it, I just tell them that somehow we lucked out.

9 Months Old

Look who's 9 months old!

Hard to believe our little Addison is already 9 months old...where does the time go??
(Have I worn out that phrase yet?)

Stats:
Weight: 19 lbs. 13 oz. (50%)
Height: 28 Inches (75%)
Head: 45.5 CM (90%...gotta have a big head to fit that huge brain!)

Addison is crawling more and more and has started "exploring" more...which is just super awesome! (Except not really so much.) She is eating a lot of solid foods and prefers to feed herself...making meal time interesting.

Her favorite past time is pulling herself up on her knees next to the TV and hitting the entertainment center over and over...it's just the greatest toy EVER!

Sounds she is making:  mama, dada, uh-oh, baba, and of course her infamous ear piercing scream...which she has down to a science.

And of course, what post would be complete without pictures?

Baby's been sniffing a few too many poopy diapers.

This one is random...but it's the look on her face any time her older sister's are around to entertain her.  Plus you can see that she actually has enough hair for it to be messy!  That's unheard of around here!

So, there you have it...my beautiful, wonderful, talented, sweet, charming, coy, mischievous baby.  Hard to believe we're creeping up on the 1 year mark.  It's been a JOY having her in our house.  

We sure love our Addison!

What do you do in the Summer-Time?

 

Oh, what do you do in the summer-time, 

when all the world is green?

Do you swim in a pool, 

to keep yourself cool, 

or swing in a tree up high?

Is that what you do?

 So do I!

Except in Washington, we do it with pants and sweaters on.

 Ahh....summer fun.

Hold your horses!

Today was one of those "holy cow, when did my kids get so big?!" type days.

As opposed to the more common "holy cow, why aren't you old enough to fold the laundry for me?!"

This is becoming a common feeling when I look at Addison.  I'm not particularly fond of the idea of her growing up.  Although I am particularly fond of her learning to fold laundry.

(Although RARE, she does let me put her in the bouncy chair once in a while.)

Especially when you compare it to this picture taken 6 months ago.

It's like two different babies.

Gosh, she is so dang cute - if I do say so myself.  Which I do.

Have I mentioned that she's crawling now?  She waited until the morning we got to our new house to go ahead and take off.  Marty was very happy she hadn't done it without it.  So, just pretend I'm a super mom and this is the video of her first crawling as opposed to a video of her from today.

I just don't understand why they think it's a good idea to grow up so fast.

*SIGH*

And, on a totally un-related side note...unless you consider funny pictures of my kids as evidence that they are growing up way to fast...here are some pictures of Brielle and Claire after a fun morning of digging holes in the dirt in our back yard.

They were quite pleased with their work.
